Lakeside Circle
1989 Edition

by Russell Brower

Inspired by the historic downtown Los Angeles landmark, Echo Lake which existed long before the entertainment industry, Lakeside Circle features serene landscaping and a fountain similar to its West Coast counterpart as well as two prime examples of "California Crazy" Architecture in the form of Min and Bill's Dockside Dinner and Gertie's Ice Cream of Extinction. The latter is now a much-beloved (and completely accidental) mascot of the park.
The accompanying musical score featured appropriately aquatic cinema scores and high adventure soundtracks from (then) recent mega-blockbusters. Several of which Disney•MGM Studios Musical Curator, Russell Brower mischievously included from Universal Studios against the policy of promoting the rival park.

Part of the Studios Soundtrack Series created to preserve the original atmospheres of the park by presenting restorations of its underscores.
